Classroom Update 1/2G

Settling into School Life Beautifully
Our Grade 1/2 class has settled beautifully into the school year, and it has been wonderful to see the positive start everyone has made. The students are becoming familiar with classroom routines and expectations, which has helped create a calm and positive learning environment.
In Literacy, we have been working hard in our InitiaLitand Initial Writeprograms. Students are making great progress in their reading, spelling and writing skills, and it has been lovely to see their confidence growing each week. I have also been very impressed with how much everyone’s handwriting has improved. The students have been practising correct letter formation and presentation, and their efforts are really starting to show in their work.
In Mathematics, students have been developing their understanding of number, place value and problem solving through a range of hands-on activities, games and discussions. They have been working well both independently and collaboratively when exploring new mathematical ideas.
Thank you for your continued support. It has been a wonderful start to the year, and I am looking forward to seeing the continued growth and achievements of our Grade 1/2 class throughout the year.
