Principal's Message

Dear Families,
Welcome to another action-packed edition of our newsletter! We have had a busy week, focusing on our learning.
On Tuesday, we had two special visitors from the Catholic Education Office, Glenn & Nicki. They were visiting to see first-hand all the amazing work our students and staff have placed in the Magnify Sandhurst program. Glenn and Nicki commented on the calm feeling throughout the school. They could see all of our learners on task and trying their very best. Here at Our Lady's, we are incredibly proud of everything we have achieved as part of the Magnify program.
Enrolments for 2027 are now open! If you have a Foundation student starting in 2027, get a jump on the paperwork now! Please check out the enrolment section of the newsletter for all the information you need to know.
If you don't have a sibling, please feel free to spread the word about just how amazing Our Lady's is! We have a unique environment that supports each individual learner within our environment. New families are always welcome!
A huge congratulations to our Grade 3 & 5 students and teachers on tackling NAPLAN last week. The students were unphased by the process and showed great resilience during the testing period. We are currently working on completing all catch-up tests. Results from our NAPLAN tests will be available later in the year - parents will receive a NAPLAN individual report to see how your child performed.
We have a few exciting things on the horizon as well approaching in the coming weeks. Our Grade 6 leaders have stepped up to assist with our fundraising for Project Compassion by organising a Crazy Hair Day. Despite the April 1st day, this is not a joke. We look forward to seeing all the Crazy Hair Day Styles! Gold coin donation required.
You may be aware that employees in Victorian government schools are planning strike action on 24 March. This will have no impact on our school and classes will continue as normal.
Blessings,
Cassie
