Classroom Update FH

A Wonderful Start to Our Learning Journey!
What a fantastic Term 1 we are having in Foundation! Over the past eight weeks, we have settled beautifully into school life, confidently following our daily routines, unpacking independently, and building positive friendships. It has been wonderful to see the children continue to grow in confidence and develop a strong sense of belonging in our classroom.
We have commenced our InitiaLit, InitialWrite, and Storybook lessons, and the progress in listening, speaking, early reading, and writing has been pleasing. In our Ochre Maths sessions, students have been exploring numbers, sorting, patterns, and mathematical language through hands-on and engaging activities.
We were incredibly proud to produce our first class book! The students loved contributing their ideas and illustrations, and it was a special moment to celebrate our work together as published authors. We look forward to producing more as the year progresses.
Here is what the Foundie’s are enjoying about school this year:
Stephanie – learning
Dakota – playing with my friends on the playground
Oakleigh – learning with blocks
Isabella – playing on the playground
Jacob – I like playing with the squishy toys in the art room
Josanna – playing inside learning games
Logan – playing with my friends
Harper – playing with my friends outside
Stevin – doing puzzles
Kysis – playing with my friends
I am so proud of the children’s enthusiasm, resilience, and eagerness to learn. What a brilliant start to the year – I look forward to finishing the term just as strongly!
