Congratulations to our Peninsula Soccer Representatives!
A huge congratulations to Luke Haines (Year 12), who recently represented the U16–19 Peninsula Soccer Team at the State School Championships in Moreton Bay.
Luke's team finished an impressive 6th overall, and he was honoured to be selected as co-captain of the team—a fantastic achievement that reflects his leadership both on and off the field.
We also congratulate our other St Mary's representatives who proudly competed at the championships:

We are incredibly proud of all four students for representing both their region and St Mary's Catholic College with skill, determination and sportsmanship.
Cairns Running Festival 2026
Good luck to all of our staff and students participating in the Cairns Running Festival on Sunday 12 July!
At the latest update, St Mary’s had the largest team overall, which is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful reflection of our College spirit.
We encourage our community to head down to the Esplanade to cheer on our amazing runners as they take on the challenge and paint the town maroon and green.
