Welcome Back to Term 3!
We welcome all students back for Term 3! After a well-earned break, we are delighted to welcome everyone back, refreshed and ready for another busy and rewarding term. We hope that families had an opportunity to rest, relax and reconnect over the holidays.
This term promises to be filled with engaging learning opportunities, special events and experiences that encourage students to grow both academically and personally. At St Mary's in Term 3, we look forward to celebrating the Semester 1 Academic Assembly, Catholic Education Week, NAIDOC Week, the College Musical Frozen JR, St Mary's Day, and our 40th Anniversary Family Fiesta, just to name a few.
Student report cards were made available to all families via the MyCE App over the break. All parents should ensure they share these Semester 1 reports with their children so they can view progress and areas for growth. Subject teachers are always willing to speak with parents about their child's progress and how we can work in partnership to support positive student outcomes.

Important Update – E‑Bikes and E‑Scooters on College Grounds
As you are aware, the laws in Queensland regarding young people on electric bikes and scooters have changed.
I am writing to inform you of an important update regarding the use of e‑bikes and e‑scooters at the College.
From the beginning of Semester 2, e‑bikes and e‑scooters will no longer be permitted on College property unless students complete the required registration paperwork with the College. To complete the paperwork, students must be 16 years of age and with a current Learner's Permit or Driver Licence.
This decision has been made after careful consideration of recent legislation and the challenges associated with safety of these devices. Students will be required to complete the College paperwork to bring an e‑bike or e‑scooter onsite.

We strongly encourage all parents and caregivers to review this information with their child to ensure safe and lawful use of e‑bikes and e‑scooters.
