Welcome back to Term 3. I hope everyone had a relaxing break and is looking forward to a fantastic term ahead.

I would like to begin by congratulating the students who successfully completed their Duke of Edinburgh's Award last semester. Their dedication, resilience and willingness to challenge themselves are to be commended, and we are incredibly proud of their achievements.

Congratulations to our award recipients:

• Bronze Awardees: Lachlan and Oscar (G9); Myla, Lucy, Maylee, Jasmine, Siyanna and Indiana (C10); Harli, Jack, Benjamin and Henry (G10) and Georgina (C11)
• Silver Awardee: Benjamin (G10); Ashley and Avalon (C11) and Luca (G11)
• Gold Awardee: Zane (G12)

Well done to each of these students. Earning a Duke of Edinburgh's Award requires determination, commitment and the ability to step outside your comfort zone, making it a truly rewarding accomplishment.

For families not familiar with the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award, it is a globally recognised youth development program for young people aged 14 to 24. Participants complete activities in four sections: Voluntary Service, Physical Recreation, Skills and Adventurous Journey. Students completing the Gold Award also undertake a Residential Project. The program encourages young people to develop new skills, build confidence, contribute to their community and challenge themselves in new experiences.

Pittwater House is proud to be an Open Award Centre, giving eligible students aged 14 years and over the opportunity to participate.

All students currently completing their Award are reminded that support workshops are held every Friday at lunchtime in Room DG5. These sessions are a great opportunity to receive help with logging activities, updating records, setting goals or asking questions about the Award.

Parents and carers are encouraged to remind their child to attend these workshops if they would like additional support.
