Insects - An Invitation to Create

Children have been noticing insects in the garden, observing bees, lady bugs and moths. Gurbaaz had a try at drawing a bee after watching them gather pollen from the flowers under the big tree. Many children enjoyed the provocation of drawing, then painting insects at the easels too. Kiara and Ivy painted a beautiful ladybug, using the photo provocation as inspiration. Koa created a spider, using great care with his brushstrokes. Halle drew her insect with black pencil before adding colour and Eloise was intently focussed, drawing her butterfly then matching the pink colours to finish it off. Jordan was very proud of his insect.
