Week 1 Greeting

It was wonderful to see everyone returning to school after the two-week break. Whether families celebrate Easter or not, I hope everyone had the chance to spend some quality time with loved ones over the Easter long weekend, and that our students have come back feeling rested and refreshed. At school, students settled back smoothly from day one, quickly re-establishing routines and reconnecting with their peers and teachers. We were fortunate to enjoy beautiful weather throughout the week, which certainly added to the positive atmosphere, and it has been a joy to see everyone making the most of the first week back at school.

Personally, after nearly a month away from our school, it is truly wonderful to return. I had a valuable experience at my placement school and am excited to share what I have learned with our staff over the remainder of the year. Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome back comments in the playground—they have been greatly appreciated.

2週間の休暇を終え、生徒達が元気に学校に戻ってまいりました。イースターを祝うご家庭もそうでないご家庭も、この連休中に大切な方々と有意義な時間を過ごされ、子どもたちもしっかりと休養を取り、リフレッシュできたことかと存じます。初日からスムーズに学校生活が再開され、子どもたちは日常のルーティンを取り戻し、友達や先生方とのつながりを再び築いています。今週は天候にも恵まれ、学校全体が明るく前向きな雰囲気に包まれ、良いスタートを切ることができました。

個人的には、約1か月ぶりにCPSに戻り、大変嬉しく感じています。研修先の学校で貴重な経験を積むことができ、今年度を通してその学びを本校の教職員と共有していくことを楽しみにしています。校庭で温かいお言葉をかけてくださった皆さまに、心より感謝申し上げます。

School Open Day

We are pleased to share that we will be hosting two School Open Days during this term, with the first session scheduled for Saturday 16 May. These events are designed for prospective families who are considering joining our school community, and they provide a wonderful opportunity to experience firsthand the vibrant learning environment we offer. We look forward to warmly welcoming visitors and showcasing the many engaging programs, dedicated staff, and enthusiastic students that make our school such a special place.

今学期中にスクールオープンデーが2回開催されます。第1回は5月16日（土）に実施されます。これらのイベントは、本校への入学を検討されているご家庭を対象としており、本校の活気ある学習環境を直接ご覧いただける絶好の機会です。当日は、とてもユニークなバイリンガル学校であるCPSをご紹介できることを楽しみにしております。

Japan Trip

There is a great deal of excitement among our Year 5 and 6 students, particularly those who will be travelling to Japan in October this year. Kurokawa Sensei has been working tirelessly to finalise the itinerary, which involves extensive coordination with a range of organisations in Japan. This is a significant undertaking, and we appreciate the care and effort being invested to ensure a rich and rewarding experience for our students. We look forward to sharing an outline of the itinerary with our community once it has been finalised. 

今年10月に２年に１回行われるJapan Tripがあります。参加する生徒は今からワクワクしているようです。現在、黒川先生が行程の最終調整を進めており、日本国内のさまざまな団体との綿密な連携をとりながら最終確認を行なっております。子どもたちにとって実り多い経験となるよう、多大な時間と労力が注がれています。行程の概要が確定しましたら、改めて皆さまにご案内いたします。

Curriculum Information Session for Parents

We are excited to invite all parents to attend our upcoming Curriculum Information Session on Thursday 7 May, beginning at 9:05am. This session will be led by our Learning Specialist (Maths), Onda Sensei, our Bilingual Leader, Morita Sensei, and our newly appointed Acting Learning Specialist (English), Miss Gibson. It is a valuable opportunity to hear directly from our curriculum leaders, who bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their roles. We encourage all families to keep this date in their diaries and join us for what promises to be an informative and engaging session. We look forward to seeing you there.

5月7日（木）9時5分より、保護者の皆さまを対象としたカリキュラム説明会を開催いたします。本説明会は、算数ラーニングスペシャリストの恩田先生、バイリンガルリーダーの森田先生、そして新たに英語のアクティング・ラーニングスペシャリストに就任したギブソン先生が担当いたします。各分野において豊富な知識と経験を持つリーダーから直接説明を受けることのできる貴重な機会です。多くの皆さまのご参加をお待ちしております。
