AUSSIE OF THE MONTH

Congratulations to Nadia L (5M), who has been awarded the AOM Award for March. Nadia consistently demonstrates our school values of Kindness, Excellence, Resilience and Integrity. She is community minded, thoughtful and always looks out for others, ensuring everyone feels included and valued. We are very proud of her contribution to our school community.
Cultural Learning
A heartfelt thank you to Aida (mother of Iller), who visited as our special guest speaker to share the significance of Ridvan, a celebration from her culture. Her message centred on kindness, peace and inclusion, values that resonate strongly within our school community.
MOTHERS’ / SPECIAL PERSON’s DAY
We are looking forward to celebrating our wonderful mothers and special people next week.
PA Gift Stall Monday May 4 1:00–3:00 pm
The PA has organised a special stall where students can purchase gifts. Please ensure your child/children bring a bag to take their items home. If any parents are able to assist, please contact your class rep.
Open Classroom Friday May 8, 8:45–9:45 am
Mothers and special people are warmly invited to visit their child/children’s classroom to engage in a shared activity. This year, instead of a breakfast, we are focusing on giving families more time together in the classroom.
The PA has kindly funded a coffee voucher for The Corner Cafe and a small gift for every mother/special person. These will be given out in the youngest child’s classroom. For more information, please visit the PA page.
We look forward to celebrating this special morning with our community.
INFORM & EMPOWER: Cybersafety and Digital Wellbeing
All classes have begun the Inform and Empower program. The program builds a strong online community for students that grows with them, supports them, and helps them succeed.
As part of the program, we have planned an online parent webinar for parents on Thursday, 14 May at 7:30 pm. Please see the flyer to register for the webinar.

STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS
Congratulations to Annika, Ella, Ben and Josie, who baked and sold ANZAC biscuits to support the ANZAC Appeal, raising an impressive $154. A great display of initiative and teamwork.

Well done to Meika and her brother Otis, who set up an ANZAC Day cookie stall and raised $150 for the Doncaster RSL in just two hours. A thoughtful and generous contribution to the community.
