The Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary - Friday, August 15

We are looking forward to celebrating the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary this Friday, August 15.

This special feast day in the Catholic Church honours Mary, the Mother of Jesus, and remembers her being taken into Heaven. It is a beautiful reminder of her purity, faith, and love for God. Mary’s life inspires us to follow her example of humility, trust, and obedience to God’s will.

To mark this important day, we will attend Mass at 12:15 PM, led by our SRCs from

Years 2 to 5. Families are warmly invited to join us in this celebration.

At home, you may wish to pray the Hail Mary together as a family, giving thanks for Mary’s love and care for us all.

Hail Mary

Full of grace,

the Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou amongst women

and blessed is the fruit

of thy womb, Jesus

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

pray for us sinners, now

and at the hour of our death.

Amen

Feast of the Assumption – Wear a Touch of Blue

To celebrate our Mother, Mary, we invite all students to wear a touch of blue to school. This could be a blue hair tie, t-shirt, or socks with their school shorts or pants. Please remember, no face paint or hair colouring, as we will be attending Mass.
