Glasses for Kids- Coming to our school!

 4th–7th August 2025 (Week 3, Term 3)

We’re excited to welcome the Glasses for Kids program to our school!

All Prep to Year 3 students are eligible for a free vision screening, with further testing and free glasses provided if needed.

This program is run by State Schools’ Relief in partnership with the Department of Education, helping families by providing on-site eye care and removing vision as a barrier to learning.

What’s Involved:

  • Students are screened by qualified optometrists in small groups
  • If needed, further testing is completed on-site
  • Glasses are prescribed and students choose their own frames
  • Results are shared with families
  • Glasses are delivered to the school within three weeks

Consent is required for your child to take part. Participation is optional.

This program ensures kids get the support they need to thrive in the classroom and beyond.

More information and consent forms have been sent out earlier this week.
