On Friday, 20 June the College hosted the Senior School Music Night, marking the final event in our series of three major music concerts for Term 2. The evening highlighted the hard work and collaboration of students from both Trinity College and Mercedes College, with performances reflecting months of dedicated preparation.
The night began with a traditional performance by the Pipes and Drums Band, followed by the polished sets from the TM Wind Orchestra and TM String Orchestra, showcasing technical skill and musical expression. The Classical Guitar Ensemble delivered a fun and engaging piece, while the TM Symphonic Brass performed an entertaining version of Singing in the Rain.
Swing Band I brought energy with their jazz selections, and the Vocal Ensemble and Chorale added strong performances to the program. From the body percussion in Tha Thin Tha performed by the TM Vocal Ensemble to the stirring rendition of Forgotten by the Senior Chorale. The concert closed with the Combined Trinity Mercedes Chorale, bringing all singers together for a final piece.
A huge congratulations to all students involved and to the staff across both schools for their dedication and support. The Senior School Music Night was a fitting finale to a term full of musical celebration and sets a high bar as we head into Term 3 – our “Festival Term” of performances.
