Aboriginal Student Program

NAIDOC Performance

Ursula Frayne Junior School

On a cold Thursday winter’s morning, the College’s First Nations Dance and Didge group, the Boorloo Boys, travelled to Ursula Frayne Junior School to take part in their NAIDOC Week celebrations. The boys put on a great show, demonstrating the Emu, Kangaroo, and Kookaburra dances. The audience was very pleased, giving the boys a rousing round of applause.

It is always such a special part of the First Nations program that our boys are able to share their culture with the wider community. This was the first time the students were painted up outside of our NAIDOC Assembly.

A special thanks to Mr John Black for driving the students to and from Ursula Frayne.
