Dear Lord Jesus,

Let us not be frivolous in our worship of you

as some who lined the streets on Palm Sunday.

Instead, help us be constant.

Give us strength and courage to walk the hard yards with You;

to resist temptations to deny You in your hour of suffering;

to resist the fickle trends and fashions of the world;

to be counter-cultural;

to remain faithful to you as we remember

Your passion and death, and

to joyfully celebrate your Resurrection.

Renew our hope in your promise of salvation,

Through You, Christ, Our Lord.
