Hunter New England Area Health District (HNEAHD) - Mobile Dental Van Visit

Niangala Public School were very lucky to have Ria & Tracy from the HNEAHD Oral Health Team provide students with a comprehensive dental examination this week.  The program is a NSW public dental service and provided free to school aged children.

Ria and Tracy completed a thorough check of the children's teeth and gums, they discussed the importance of oral health and how to keep your teeth healthy. 

 The dental van was a novel way of visiting the dentist with the interior being set out as a complete clinical room, with the ability to take x-rays, complete fillings and provide fluoride treatments.

The smiles were brighter after being able to access this wonderful service.

Note from Mrs Crawford: It was lovely to receive compliments from Ria and Tracy about how well mannered, polite and engaging the students were when they visited the dental van. It is wonderful to receive such positive feedback about our fabulous students!
