Celebrating Our Young Athletes – Docklands Athletic Football Club ⚽️
We’re excited to celebrate a fantastic group of Grade 1 and 2 students from St Michael’s who play for the Docklands Athletic Football Club — Darii, Koray, Timmy, Alex, Ben and Jordan.
These students have shown great teamwork, determination, and enthusiasm throughout the soccer season, proudly representing our school in their community sport.
At the club’s end-of-season awards, two of our players received special recognition:
🏅 Jordan – Best and Fairest (Most Valuable Player) for his outstanding effort, teamwork, and leadership on the field.
🏅 Koray – Coaches Award (Most Improved Player) for his dedication, positive attitude, and impressive growth this season.
Congratulations to all our young athletes on an amazing season — we’re so proud of the way you’ve represented St Michael’s both on and off the field!
Fr Nicholas' Classroom visits
Last week, Fr Nicholas visited the Prep and Year 3/4 classes to answer our students' burning questions they had for him on the topics of The Bible, God and Jesus, the encyclical Laudato Si, Advent, and his vocation as a priest.
Fr Nicholas was impressed with the great questions they had, some including:
Out of all the women in the world, why did God choose Mary? (Chaitanya, 3/4S)
What do you think was the most important thing that Jesus did? (Abigail, 3/4CA)
Why did God command the flood? (Luke, Prep AS)
What is the hardest part of being a priest? (Ivan, 3/4T)
We thank Fr Nicholas for spending time with us and answering our questions. We look forward to the next session!
