Grade Prep Report

Children in Prep have been busy learning about 2D shapes.
We have learned shape names, sorted shapes by how many sides and corners they have, and created pictures using shapes.
"I made a giraffe with triangles and rectangles" - Quinn PAD
"I made a castle and I used different sized hexagons, triangles and
diamonds for the towers" - Maxwell PAD
"I made a monster truck with big circles for the tyres" - Robert PAD
"I sorted the shapes by colour to make my yellow dog. He has
little circles for his ears and a big circle for his head." - Benee PAD
"My bat has a large circle for his body and small circles for his eyes. I used triangles
for his ears and diamonds for his wings and legs" - Oliver PAD
"I made a strawberry in a bowl with different sized triangles and
I made a hexagon for the bowl" - Lucy PAD
We even went on a shape hunt in our classroom to find 2D shapes in the wild!
"I found a circle on a book. I know it's a circle because it has
no straight lines or corners" - Charlie PAD
"I found a rectangle with little squares inside" - Lola PAD
"The Bluey gnome has a hat that is almost a triangle because it has
three sides but round corners" - Rose PAD
