Secondary Cross Country Team
Unfortunately the SSATIS Cross Country was cancelled yesterday due to the persistent rain we have had this week. The Secondary Cross Country team, comprising the following students, will now turn their attention to the All Schools Cross Country at Symmons Plains on Thursday 11 June. Good luck to all competitors.

Primary Cross Country Team
Congratulations to the following students that have been selected to represent Mount Carmel as part of the Cross Country Team. Unfortunately due to the weather, the Southern Tasmania Catholic Primary School Sports Association (STCPSSA) Cross Country that was scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled. We now look ahead to the Junior Southern Sports Association of Tasmanian Independent Schools (JSSATIS) Cross Country on Wednesday 10 June. The top 4 runners in each year group will then be selected to compete at Primary All Schools Cross-Country on Tuesday 16 June at Symmons Plains.

Primary Netball
This season the College is represented by four teams in the JSSATIS Primary Netball competition, Year 3/4, Year 5 Gold, Year 6 Navy and Year 6 White. It’s been fantastic to see some students trying netball for the first time, and combining so well with the more experienced players in their teams.
Now in the third week of the season, students are continuing to learn and refresh their understanding of the rules and the responsibilities of the different positions on court. There has been plenty of encouragement, teamwork and excitement each time a goal is scored.
Thanks to Secondary students Ruby Fishwick, Olivia Banks-Smith for taking on coaching roles with these teams, and to Nayva Rawat, Izzy Adams and other secondary students that assist with lunch time training. We wish the teams all the best for the rest of the season.
