The Alice Springs Chamber Orchestra, Featuring Local Young String Players

Last term, the strings students at The Alice Strings Steiner School collaborated in groups to write a series of short pieces.

You may have already heard one or two of these pieces played at home, and you will certainly hear more if you come to any of the end of year strings concerts in week 9.

However, if you would like to hear all of them played in concert by professional musicians from the Alice Springs Chamber Orchestra along with young string players from the community, including Wilber from Class 3 and Anouk, Adele, Memphis and Charlotte T. from Class 6, then come along to the Centralian Senior College on Sunday afternoon, November 23rd.

Featured alongside the “2025 Steiner Suite” will be works such as Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, Vaughan Williams’ Variations on Dives and Lazarus, and a special performance of Tchaikovsky’s Andante Cantabile by young local cellist Martha Livingstone.

Entry is $25 for adults, $15 for concession, $10 for kids aged 12-18, and free for kids under 12.  Tickets can be pre-ordered at trybooking.com/DHBNW
