Principal's Report
DINA FIECK
As my time to move on approaches, I find myself reflecting on the journey of our school and the community it has become. The events of the past shape who we are today, just as the work we do now will shape the future of The Alice Springs Steiner School.
The school began more than twenty-five years ago with a small group of parents and teachers who dreamed of an education that would nurture the whole child — head, heart, and hands. From those humble beginnings, it has grown into a thriving community filled with learning, creativity, and care.
Over the years, new classrooms, gardens, and play spaces have blossomed, each one a testament to the dedication of those who came before us. The establishment of our High School is a particularly exciting milestone, marking a new chapter in our evolution. Creating a school on this beautiful piece of land has taken perseverance and, at times, truly back-breaking work. What began as a vision has become a living, growing community.
I am deeply grateful for the efforts of past students, parents, and staff whose commitment built the foundations we stand on.
One of our greatest strengths is the way our community supports one another — especially in the shared joy of festivals, gatherings, and our school fair.
