NAIDOC Week – 50 Years of Deadly

This week, we are recognising and celebrating NAIDOC Week 2026, with this year's theme, "50 Years of Deadly."

Marking 50 years of NAIDOC Week, this milestone celebrates the strength, resilience, leadership and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, while recognising the generations who have worked to keep culture, language and traditions strong.

Across the week, students are acknowledging NAIDOC Week in a variety of ways. Alongside classroom conversations and learning opportunities, students have been invited to participate in activities during recess and lunch that celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, stories and traditions.

NAIDOC Week provides an important opportunity for our school community to celebrate First Nations peoples and continue building understanding, respect and connection.

Parking Around the School – Please Park Safely

A reminder to all families to please drive and park safely around the school. 

The City of Ballarat conduct regular patrols around our school to ensure parking rules are being followed and any breaches observed will be enforced.

This is all about keeping our students, staff and community safe — particularly during the busy drop-off and pick-up times.

We kindly ask all road users to:

• Park legally and respectfully
• Avoid stopping in no-standing zones or across driveways
• Be patient and mindful of pedestrians, especially young children

Bunjil Awards

Bunjil awards recognise student achievement and those who display our school values of being respectful, responsible and kind. Well done! All of our weekly winners enjoyed a hot chocolate or zooper dooper with a principal. This process is always a great chance for us to hear from the kids and ask them some questions about our school.
