Aspiring to Great Heights - Congratulations Violet!
We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Violet R, who has enjoyed a remarkable 2026 football season with the Lilydale Junior Football Club Under 12D Girls.
Violet and her teammates capped off a fantastic season by becoming the 2026 EFNL Premiers, with Violet receiving the Best on Ground medal in the Grand Final. Her achievements didn’t stop there! Violet was also named Best Finals Player and received her team’s 2026 Best & Fairest Award, and earlier this week was named runners up in the EFNL Under 12D Girls Best & Fairest Competition - an extraordinary collection of individual honours alongside the ultimate team success of a premiership.
Violet’s achievements are a wonderful example of our new school value of Aspire. To aspire is to set goals, challenge ourselves, work hard and continually strive to be the very best we can be. Success like this comes from commitment, perseverance, teamwork and a willingness to keep learning and improving - qualities Violet has clearly demonstrated throughout her season.
While the medals and trophies are wonderful recognition, we are especially proud of the dedication and determination behind them. Violet has certainly shown what it means to ‘reach for the heights’, both individually and as part of a team.

Congratulations Jordyn!
We are thrilled to acknowledge Bimbadeen community member Jordyn Allen, sister of Jimmy, who has made an outstanding start to her AFLW career with the Melbourne Football Club. Wearing the No. 32 guernsey, Jordyn collected an impressive 19 disposals in her debut against Hawthorn before rising to the top of the stats sheet in just her second game. She amassed 22 disposals, eight running bounces and 438 metres gained in Melbourne’s commanding victory over GWS, earning the first AFL Coaches Association votes of her career. What an extraordinary beginning!
We warmly congratulate Jordyn and her family and look forward to following her exciting journey with the Demons.
Children’s Book Week
Once again, this year’s annual Book Week parade was a highlight for all Bimbadeen students, staff, and families. Our parade, held in the gym on Wednesday 26 August, was an incredible sight, with hundreds of different characters represented. Thank you to all members of our community for making such an effort to celebrate children’s Book Week, and for getting into the community spirit and either joining in or attending our parade. Father’s Day Stall Thank you
There was a wonderful buzz of excitement at our Father’s Day Stall this week as students carefully selected a special gift for someone important in their lives.
A huge thank you to our wonderful parent volunteers who helped with setting up, supporting students with their purchases and packing up afterwards. A very special thank you also goes to Sarah Huxley for coordinating the stall and purchasing gifts, and to our wonderful parent/carer helpers and staff for sorting gifts and supporting our students on the day. Your time, organisation and generosity are greatly appreciated.
As Father’s Day approaches, we send our warmest wishes to all the dads, grandfathers, carers and special father figures in our Bimbadeen community. We also hold in our thoughts those who are missing or remembering a much-loved dad or father figure this Father’s Day, and send our care and support to you.
Annual Emergency Management Plan Information
Each year, our school completes a full review and update of its emergency management plan.
Our school plans for a range of hazards, such as severe weather, medical emergencies, building fires, intruders, etc. We develop specific response procedures to address these risks.
We also conduct drills regularly, ensuring that our core procedures of on-site and off-site evacuation, sheltering-in-place, and lockdown/lockouts are well-rehearsed and understood by staff and students.
If we enact our emergency management plan, we will notify you by Sentral with updates on our actions, if required. If there is anything we need you to do, we will let you know. Please do not come to the school unless directed to do so, as you may put yourself and others in danger. If there is anything we need you to do, we will let you know.
During an emergency, the school will work closely with emergency services to get specific advice to keep our community safe. Additionally, the Department of Education has dedicated emergency management staff to help monitor the situation and provide additional support to schools during emergencies.
Please be assured our top priority is the safety of our students and school community.
