First Aid
Dear Parents/Carers
My name is Pina, and I am the First Aid Officer at Epping Secondary College.
Please keep the school updated with all medical information and any changes, so we can record this on their student file and keep them safe at school.
Forms need to be brought to school on first day of commencement or emailed directly to:
epping.sc@education.vic.gov.au
Any changes or new health issues need to be updated and recorded on the school system.
If your child needs to take medication at school, please fill out a Medication Authority form and drop it off at the office with the medication.
All Asthma, Anaphylaxis, Epilepsy, Allergic Reactions, Diabetes Medical Action Plans need to be updated yearly by your GP.
A copy of the Action Plan needs to be handed to the office to update medical information.
Please find attached important medical forms that you may need.
Year 7 Immunisation Day
The Secondary School Immunisation Program offers free National Immunisation Program schedule vaccines to all eligible Year 7 students.
Year 7 students
- Diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (whooping cough)
- Human papillomavirus (HPV)
Year 7 Immunisations date: Thursday 7th March 2024 at 9.00am.
As of this year The City of Whittlesea have moved away from paper consent cards and moved to a simple digital system for the school immunisation Program.
Please use the Epping Secondary College QR code to Register with VaxApp and follow the instructions to register your child/children.
All Year 7 Parents need to register whether your child will or will not be receiving the vaccine, as the council will be following up with families that have not registered.
Your local council will work with your child’s school to implement the immunisation program and will inform you of the steps you need to take.
The Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations 2019
<http://classic.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/vic/consol_reg/phawr2019331/s112.html>
authorises secondary schools to provide their local council with student and parent/guardian contact information for any student scheduled to receive a vaccination.
This information is only used to assist local councils to follow-up parents/guardians of students with incomplete or missing immunisation consent forms.
Every day vaccination saves lives and makes it possible for Victorians to live free from the illness and disability caused by many infectious diseases.
