Introducing the 2024 Epping Secondary College Wellbeing Team

 

Our dedicated Wellbeing Team provides counselling, programs, case management, whole year level and entire school events designed to cater to the diverse needs of students and to create a sense of belonging to the school community.

 

The Wellbeing Team is comprised of dedicated professionals committed to providing comprehensive support to our students.

On Tuesday the 6th of February all year 7 students participated in an incursion titled                                                                             ‘Think U know’. 

 

Leading Senior Constable Wendy Sheild Youth Resource Officer from Victoria Police delivered the workshop and provided valuable information about staying safe online.

Students learnt about image-based abuse and being AWARE while posting images. 

 

Legal implications for sending on private images were also discussed.

The workshop also explored tips for staying safe like using some of the functions on social media sites like blocking, reporting and unfriending others who seem suspicious or harmful and promoting critical thinking as a mechanism to enhance safety.
