Assemblies
We have finally had a run of assemblies the past two weeks, where it has been great to have a group of parents join us. If you are available at 9am of a Monday morning we would really love to see you next term.
Star Students
Foundation:
Week 9 was Harlow for her effort with sounding words.
Foundation: Week 10 was Zander for paying careful attention to forming his numbers correctly.
Year 1/2: Week 9 was Olive for being organised and putting in a good effort in each of her classes.
Year 1/2 Week 10 was Matilda for always contributing to discussion and helping out around the classroom.
Year 3/4 Week 9: Was both Ashton for acting on feedback given in relation to his African Animal project in Humanities
Year 3/4 Week 9: Charlie Leslie for his fabulous recall of morphemes.
Year 3/4, Week 10 was Renee for her participation when identifying the different sounds in words.
Year 5/6 Week 9 was both Alyson and Delilah for their hard work and determination in Numeracy
Year 5/6 Week 10 Week 10 was Archie for displaying good sportsmanship and a positive attitude at Calder Hot Shots.

Reading Awards
25 nights: Zander, Scarlett, Harry, Charlie Lane, Chloe, Tully, Dakota, Olive, Austin, Tyson, Molly, Hazel, Sophie, Audrey, Oliver Lane, Nate, Renee, Maisie, Alyson, Noah, Alodia and Cody.
50 nights: Scarlett and Dakota.
SWPBS Awards:
Week 9 was Noah, Campbell and Archie who all displayed responsibility by playing fairly out at soccer. What was really impressive about these boys was their willingness to share the ball with teammates.
Week 10 was Tully and Charlie Lane who displayed responsibility by playing fairly in the yard. As a result, these two boys were having “the absolute best time ever!”
Hot Shots Tennis
As reported at Assembly on Monday, last Thursday our Year 5 & 6 students will headed to Boort to play tennis. This year they played in teams made up of players from all schools. Students had a wonderful day.
Urban Camp
Preparation is well underway for the Year 5 & 6 Urban Camp that will take place in the week starting June 15. Urban Camp administrators are in the process of booking venues for us. After this is done they will confirm our schedule, and further information will be sent to families.
Happy Easter
The primary staff wish you all a happy and safe Easter break and holiday period. We look forward to seeing everyone back next term where we will be busy with the House Cross Country, Winter Sports, Information Evenings and the Year 5 & 6 students will attend Urban Camp.

Foundation
Year 1/2 Digital Technologies students are learning about past and present technology and how it has evolved over time. They then had the opportunity to design and build their own digital device.
Matilda “ this is my Computer it has a hidden mouse!”
Oscar “this is my transformer phone, which transforms into a plane when you press a button."
Ruby “this is my iPhone I can call my brothers and sisters when I need help”
Austin “this is my tractor, it has a horn on it that sprays out smoke”
Tully “this is my phone and buttons, it has You Tube and Netflix on it, with a apple logo”
Leo “this is my hot wheels car- it goes so fast with a button, it has flames on both sides and an exhaust with fire!”
Olive “this is my triple layered bus with stairs, and the driver sits at the bottom, and it has a exhaust”
Chloe “this is my phone, with a yellow camera to take photos of lots of things”
Charlie “My computer which is a digital device and you press keys and it comes on screen. It has an air filter to cool it down”
Harry “this is my Iphone with a on/off button. But I don’t call on this phone, I use my real phone and send funny messages to Sam”

Year 5/6 have been reading the “Blueback” book for literacy this term and got to watch the movie with popcorn for their last literacy class.
