Years 7-9

Grampians Camp Report
Wrapping up our Week 8 camp, Year 9 and Outdoor Education students travelled to the Grampians National Park at Halls Gap, where they had the opportunity to step outside the classroom and further develop their bushwalking, teamwork, and outdoor living skills.
Across the camp, students showed great resilience and a positive attitude as they completed hikes to both the Pinnacle and Mt Rosea. Carrying their own packs over varied and sometimes demanding terrain, they supported one another, encouraged their peers, and worked together to overcome challenges along the way.
The group based themselves at Borough Huts Campground, where they set up tents, organised their gear, and prepared meals using Trangia stoves. These shared responsibilities provided students with valuable opportunities to build independence, practical camping skills, and confidence in an outdoor setting.
To finish the camp, students took part in rock climbing and abseiling at Hollow Mountain. This was a highlight for many, with students stepping outside their comfort zones, encouraging each other, and finishing the experience on a high note.
