Year 9 Science Brain Dissection with Mr Symmes
Our Year 9 Science students took part in an engaging brain dissection practical, giving them the opportunity to explore the structure and function of the brain in a hands-on way. Students were able to identify key parts of the brain and deepen their understanding of how this important organ controls movement, senses, memory and learning. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to apply their classroom knowledge in a real-life scientific investigation.
Year 9 Science Enzyme Experiment with Ms Sithole
Year 9 Science students have been investigating enzymes and how different conditions can affect the rate of a reaction.
During the experiment, students explored how changes in temperature and different liquids influence enzyme activity. Students observed reactions, recorded results and gained a deeper understanding of how enzymes work in living things.
A fantastic effort from Year 9 as they continue building their scientific inquiry skills.
