Second Week of Advent 

Yesterday saw us light the second candle on our advent wreath. 

The second week of Advent is all about peace. We light the Candle of Peace to remind us that Jesus brings peace to our world and to our hearts. The Bible calls Jesus the Prince of Peace because He helps us feel calm, safe, and loved, even when life gets tricky. 

When the angels appeared at Jesus’ birth, they announced “peace on earth” to everyone. So during this week of Advent, we think about how we can share peace with others, through kindness, gentle words, helping hands, and making sure everyone feels included. 

The Candle of Peace reminds us that with Jesus, we can bring peace wherever we go.
