Our whole school end of year CONCERT will take place on Friday 12th December, starting at 9.15am and finishing by 11am (snack & recess bell times will be adjusted if necessary). We hope you’re able to arrange your schedule to attend, experience the joy, AND join in the fun!

As always, the weather will dictate our concert venue – outside on the basketball court if fine, and inside the Gymnasium if not. Please keep an eye on Compass communications on Thursday 11th December as that’s how and when we will confirm the venue.

We’re hoping to share our performances with an appreciative audience that will stay to celebrate them all. No tickets are required, just your presence! You may wish to bring a rug or low chair to sit on if the weather is fine and we’re outside. And please support our SunSmart policy by wearing a hat, too.

Building the Stage - CAN YOU HELP?

Students will perform on a stage to be built on Concert Day – Friday 12th December. It will be an early start … 7.30am!

Parents and parent-supervised students are invited to help built the stage; please sign up to volunteer here and I’ll contact you early next week to confirm details.

It involves moving stage units from storage on the oval to the performance area, creating the lower level first by linking the units to create a safe foundation, then adding the second level to create a two-step extra-long choir stand.

Who is performing?

EVERYONE! All students present at school on Friday 12th December will perform, so we hope to see EVERYONE!

  • Students in Prep – Year 5 classes have each selected a song to perform with their double classes.
  • Year 6 students will perform their Graduation Songs as one group, in what will be their final group performance at PMPS.

Wearing Hats, Costumes & Props

All students are expected to wear a hat if the Concert is held outside. It will be taken off prior to going on stage and replaced as soon as students return to sit down after performing. Please support us to actively support our Sun Smart policy by ensuring that your child has theirs with them to wear on the day.

Unfortunately, there is no budget for costumes. Classroom teachers will communicate any clothing requests to you in good time, so the performance will look ‘right’ – for example students may be asked to:

  • wear green and red
  • pin some tinsel onto a shirt
  • wear black ‘bottoms’ (shorts, leggings, pants) + a colourful top*

Look out for the email from classroom teachers that has the suggested performance clothes for your child/ren.

*Please remember that only school appropriate clothing items should be worn - bare shoulders and mid-riffs are NOT acceptable school wear!

We’re aiming to keep it simple, so students are requested to arrive at school wearing the performance clothes specified by classroom teachers on Concert Day – no school uniform is required on Friday 12th December.
