2024 Swimming Carnival
Friday the 9th saw the St Mary of the Angels Swimming Carnival being held. It was a fantastic day filled with speedy swimming, supportive cheers and wonderful sportsmanship. It was great to see so many students participating and having a go no matter their swimming abilities. All students should be congratulated for their outstanding efforts on the day. We would also like to express a massive thank you to all families who attended to support the students on the day and in particular those who assisted with jobs. Your time is greatly appreciated.
The winner of our carnival this year were McAuley with 145 points followed closely by Mercy on 136 and Mackillop on 117. In other exciting sports news this year, at St Mary of the Angels school we will see the introduction of school records. These will be collected across our three carnivals this year and continue to be added to as they are broken for years to come. Please see below school record setters as well as age Champions and Runner Ups. If your child has qualified for Diocesan Carnival you will receive a Compass notification with the event details. Students will be provide with information on their times and the event/s they qualified for.

Spirit of the Carnival
The Spirit of the Carnival award recognises students who have displayed wonderful house spirit, had a go at all events to gain points for their team or demonstrated wonderful sportsmanship. These students have been recognised by staff for displaying the following qualities.

Expressions of Interest
Expressions of Interest are now open for Rugby 7’s (Girls only), Golf, Softball, AFL and Diving. As these sports historically have had limited nominations, the Diocese does not host trials for them. If you wish for your child to be considered for these sports please fill in the form below and the information will be directed to you. The link is also avaliable on the ADPSC website (under the selections tab and desired sport) and the ADPSC Facebook page.
Expression of interest (Rugby 7's (Girls only) Golf, Softball, AFL & Diving)
The school is also taking EOI for Rugby 7’s (Boys & Girls) and Netball Gala Days. If your child is in Stage 2 or 3 (Years 3-6) and is interested in attending either/both events please complete the Google Form which has been published on Compass.
House Colours
St Mary of the Angels have three school house colours. We encourage our students to wear these at school sport events, alternatively, sports uniform can be worn.
