Welcome Mass

On Wednesday 7th February, we had our school Welcome Mass. During this Mass, we celebrated the beginning of the school year and welcomed all new and present staff and young people. We also recognised our school leaders for 2024. It was a beautiful way to start our school year as part of a Catholic Professional Learning Community.

Shrove Tuesday

Yesterday, our Mini Vinnies Committee held our annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Fundraiser to raise funds for Catholic Missions. On Shrove Tuesday, people traditionally cook and eat pancakes. The reason for this was to use up foods such as fat, eggs and milk before Lent. Thank you to Miss Outridge and the Mini Vinnies Committee for their organisation and efforts to ensure that this special day happens for our young people.

Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the liturgical season of Lent. To mark this occasion our students attended a Community Mass today at 9am. We were joined by a number of parents, parishioners and community members at this special Mass.

Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent. The practice of administering ashes on this day dates back to the Middle Ages. Ashes are intended to remind us of our human condition and that the things of this world are transitory. They are also a sign of repentance. The Ashes are made from burning the dry palm branches from the previous Palm Sunday and are placed on the foreheads in the sign of the cross with the words: “Jesus loves you.”

Parish Mass Times

Please join our Parish to celebrate the Eucharist. Our Parish offers daily masses at 9:00am and two Mass times every weekend.
