Term Reflection:
It's been a busy final term here in Year 5 as we get ready for Year 6.
This term in Literacy we continued exploring and writing different text genres such as Narratives, Poetry and Biographies.

During Numeracy we have consolidated our knowledge the four operations, explored fractions and 3D Shape and their nets.
Inquiry has seen us learning all about different natural disasters and how they impact the community and environment. In Science, we have explored Light through lots of experiments.

Some students have prepared for leadership next year by writing applications and performing speeches.
We have also enjoyed the Green Nest- learning how to test the water in the Hydroponics Green House and of course, cuddling those gorgeous chickens!

FEAST Program in Grade 5:
It was finally Grade 5 A's turn to do the FEAST Program with Mrs Davey. Over the term students cooked: Fruit Skewers, French Toast, Burritos, Salad Rolls, Peach Parfait and Christmas baking.

FEAST program
The cooking program that the 5s and 6s have been doing this year is called Feast
The FEAST program stands for Food education and sustainability training. In this program we made delicious healthy food
For everyday life while having fun and cooperating with others. It also teaches us to use scraps in cooking.
This program was really fun because we got to try new things
That is usually really tasty… if you cooked it right. The experience was very fun because you felt like a real chef in a real kitchen in a real cafe.

Grade 6's Term 4 Reflection
We have had yet another busy Term and we have undertaken so much learning and in so many different areas!
We have explored: the new Greenhouse and learnt about hydroponics; launched our businesses and had our fabulous Inquiry Market day; investigated energy conductors and resistors; Bike Education and Divisional Cricket; Coliban Water visit; Remembrance Day service; Bendigo Tech School Excursion; and have had our Graduation on Thursday to finish it all off!
What a way to finish our final year of primary school!
