Thoughts from our Principal - Mrs Casey Chard

Dear Parents, Carers and Community Members,

Welcome back!

Welcome back to all our students, staff and families as we begin Term 4! A special welcome to Niah and Nevin, who joined us at the end of Term 3, and Connor and Hudson, who started this term, along with their families. We’re delighted to have you in our St Joseph’s community.

Term 4 is a special time to celebrate learning, growth and achievements, particularly for our Year 6 students. I encourage everyone to stay focused and finish the year strong. Thank you to our staff and families for your ongoing support as we look forward to a wonderful end to the school year!

School Survey

The survey results arrived last week and we were delighted by the overwhelmingly positive and affirming feedback from our families. Thank you to everyone who took the time to share your thoughts and experiences with us. Your feedback is greatly valued and appreciated, as it helps us identify opportunities to grow and improve while affirming the many positive ways we create meaningful and enriching experiences for our school community.

We have a strong focus on nurturing faith, improving learning outcomes and building a strong sense of community with our families, so it was particularly pleasing to read comments such as:

  • I love how each child is treated with respect and kindness. They aren’t ’just another child’ at the school.
  • One thing that I particularly like about our school is how welcoming and supportive the teachers and staff are. They genuinely care about the children and make them feel safe, valued and included.
  • Feels like a community, you always feel welcomed by everyone. Lots of opportunities for the parents to join in activities and be present in the children's schooling.

P&F Community Connections

Our P&F have a very busy Term 4 with several exciting events on their calendar. Please refer to the P&F News page to keep up to date with all that is happening.

Community Generosity

We are exceptionally fortunate to receive generous donations from current and past families, reflecting the strong connections within our St Joseph's community. Our sincere thanks to the Pope family (past students Harry and Sam) for their contribution towards our new sandpit and the Poschelk family (past student Max and current students Eva, Sophia and Eliza) for donating a new sick bay bed. These thoughtful contributions enhance our school facilities and student wellbeing. We sincerely appreciate the many ways our families contribute to our school community.

Thank you for your continued partnership. I look forward to sharing our Term 4 celebrations with you.

May God bless you and your family.

Casey Chard
