District Cross Country

Just over 40 students represented themselves and CSPS at Caulfield Park last Friday at the Caulfield & District Cross Country. Everyone had a great day and did their best. Thank you to Miss Martin and Gracie for attending and the many parents who were able to make it and support our runners. CSPS came 2nd overall which is our best placing in many, many years. Ten students have progressed to the Kingston & Division Cross Country on May 28 at Cornish College. We wish them all the best!

“I really loved district because I was happy with the way I ran. I ran the whole way! I loved how everyone supported one another.” Isabel K (Y5)

“I was nervous going into the race as last year I came 6th. I wondered how I would go this year. At the start I ran at about 75% and I kept that pace for around 500m. After running past all the schools, I lifted my pace. With a kilometre to go I was coming 6th. I ran past Mr Wink for the last time and overtook another runner and then I started to sprint. I ran past one more runner, I almost caught Leni. I came 4th and am looking forward to going to division.” Joshua G (Y5)

“This was my first time at going to district and although I didn’t get in the top 10 I was happy that I ran the whole way. CSPS displayed good sportsmanship!” Freddie P (Y6)

“It was a great day and experience for everyone. All students were excited and tried their best. I ran well, I tried my best and I came 7th. I’m looking forward to the Division Cross Country.” Arabella F (Y6)
