Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL)

After the excitement of voting and revealing our new school values last term, we have started putting RESPECT, RESILIENCE and RESPONSIBILITY into action for the start of this term. As part of the PBL program, each fortnight our whole school will be focussing on an expected behaviour related to one of our values. These expected behaviours are our way of ensuring that our school is a positive, safe and collaborative community. Our Expected Behaviour Matrix outlines these expectations in relation to our three core values.
This term, we have started off looking at the expectation ‘To show RESPECT I can listen to and follow instructions from all school staff and visitors’. All classes have been focussing on this and students have been acknowledged where this expectation has been demonstrated.
PBL MASCOT DESIGN WINNER
We were so impressed by the creativity, imagination, and effort that went into all of the entries for our PBL Mascot design competition. Choosing just one winner was not easy, and we'd like to congratulate everyone who entered. Every mascot showed a lot of thought and creativity and we would have loved to have lots of winners.
We are pleased to announce the winning design from our mascot competition comes from Christiana in 1/2B! Her design of a bottlebrush was so unique and thoughtful.
Over the holidays, Christiana’s design was given over to a graphic designer who took her wonderful design and created our final mascot - and we think he is pretty cute! You will see him around the school a lot over the next semester!
