Nationwide AusAlert Test

Parents and carers are advised that the Australian Government will be conducting a nationwide test of the new AusAlert emergency warning system on Monday 27 July at 2:00 pm (AEST). During the test, compatible mobile phones, smartwatches and tablets across Australia will vibrate and play a loud siren-like alert tone for approximately 10 seconds, even if devices are on silent or "Do Not Disturb" mode.

As some children may hear this alert on staff or visitor mobile devices while at school, we encourage families to have a conversation with their children beforehand so they know what to expect and understand that there is nothing to worry about. The alert is only a test and no action will be required.

We will also be reminding students about the upcoming test through our Star News before the alert is issued on Monday.
