Wellbeing and Inclusion

Social Stencil in 4C
Today, 4C took part in a Social Stencil lesson focused on developing positive friendship and teamwork skills.
Students explored the importance of being able to work effectively with others, particularly during group activities. They worked through a series of group work challenges, like creating an ice-cream dessert that would be loved by children, designed to help them practise skills such as listening to others, sharing ideas, taking turns, communicating clearly, cooperating and working towards a shared goal.
We discussed how teamwork is an important skill in everyday life. Many of the things we use, enjoy and see around us, from buildings and bridges to computer games, books and toys, are created by people working together as a team.
The lesson encouraged students to think about what makes a successful team and how their own actions can help everyone feel included, heard and able to contribute.
