Yr 9 RAID

Final RAID Day 2025 – Plan My Own Day!
Our final RAID Day for the year was a celebration of independence, teamwork and creativity as our Year 9 students took part in the student-designed “Plan My Own Day” experience in Melbourne’s CBD.
For this final challenge, students were responsible for planning, budgeting and organising their own activity schedule. They worked in small groups to design an itinerary that matched their interests while demonstrating the RAID values of Respect, Achievement, Innovation and Diversity. And what a range of activities they came up with!
While many groups embraced the festive buzz of the city with a day of shopping, others planned some wonderfully unique adventures. We had groups heading to:
⛳ Mini golf and a golf simulator
🎬 Movies at Melbourne Central
❄️ Ice skating in Docklands
🥏'Wiffle ball' in the gardens
🎣 A brave and resourceful group who even organised fishing at Docklands and got caught in a down pour.
It was fantastic to see students taking ownership of their day, navigating the city responsibly, collaborating with their peers and showing maturity in their choices. Staff reported excellent behaviour across all groups and a strong sense of teamwork and fun.
A huge thank you to all RAID teachers for supervising across Melbourne Central and Docklands, and to our students for making the final RAID Day of 2025 such a positive and memorable experience. We look forward to another year of Respect, Achievement, Innovation and Diversity in 2026!
