Columba House

2025 has been a wonderful year for Columba House and it has been led very well by House Captains Marnath M and Levi H: "Hello everyone! It's been an honor to serve you all as Columba house captain. Seeing you all grow throughout the years has been fulfilling within my high school career. I appreciate all the support given from my teachers and it's a shame that I have to part with all people integral to me within my life. I would especially like to thank Levi and Mr. Alexander for the support throughout this amazing journey and being the best team, I could ask for. To the Captains of MacKillop, I wish you all the best for next year, me and Levi are confident our roles are left in good hands. To the Columba cohort, I am amazed at everything we have achieved this year, you have put so much effort into everything and have demonstrated such resilience. I am so thankful for this journey and sad that it has come to an end. Thank you, Columba and Good luck!!!!" -Marnath

"To address the saddened end towards such a life-changing journey, I would like to thank the entire community for everything in the past 6 years, especially this memorable year. Leading Columba and witnessing our growth has been bitter-sweet, the connections formed and time we have spent together is something I will treasure forever despite my wish for it to last longer. It has been an honor to be witnessing the development of everyone, to see how far they have come and I am so grateful to be apart of the process. I am thankful for every ounce of participation and support from our wonderful house, don't stop participating because you may regret it later! I am especially so appreciative of my co-captain Marnath and house coordinator, Mr Alexander the memories created would not be so special without them. I was so fortunate to be able to lead the last Columba cohort at St John's alongside them. I thank everyone for the memories, I can ensure they will be remembered. Good luck to Mackillop house next year, I wish the best for everyone. Cherish every moment of high school and don't stop achieving your dreams."-Levi

So as the year slowly comes to an end and the exams are finishing up, I would like to thank all of Columba House students for a wonderful 2025. A big thank you to all the Learning Mentors and staff that help make Columba the best house in the school.

I look forward to our transition into MacKillop House in the coming weeks.

Congratulations again goes to CO2 for winning the MacKillop House Cup during the year. And as Mary Mackillop would say: "Whatever troubles may be before you, accept them bravely, remembering Whom you are trying to follow. Do not be afraid. Love one another, bear with one another, and let charity guide you all your life. God will reward you as only He can"-
