The Build 2025

Progress Update

At the time of writing this build update, the extensive slab for our new development was complete and we were eagerly anticipating the next phase: erecting the building's steel framework.

It gives us great pleasure to report that the build program is progressing well and that the slab, which was poured in four sections across a three-week period, has cured beautifully.

Over the next two months you will see a crane, scissor lifts and more skilled contractors on site putting together the puzzle of steelwork that will support our new multi-purpose centre, incorporating performing arts centre, library, classrooms, café and offices. It's an exciting time! We will see the building rise from the slab and the designs take shape before our eyes.

On Wednesday morning the LCS staff gathered on the slab (with safety clearance!) to pray a blessing over the building work completed and still to come. It was a fitting way to acknowledge the milestone in the building's progress and to cover the site and all the people moving around it in God's protection and favour. We invite you to likewise keep the build in your prayers.

Thank you for your ongoing support and patience as we navigate the temporary challenges in order to achieve this wonderful addition to our school's built landscape.

In Christ,

Graeme Smith (Head of Finance) and

Isaac Peters (Facilities Manager)

Parking Reminder

Thank you for your patience. We know parking has been hard, and we know there have been ongoing disruptions, but we thank you for your adaptability and flexibility.

A reminder that access via the school's main entrance is no longer available due to fencing. This restriction will remain in place for the duration of 2025.

Parking Access:

  • Staff and long-term visitor parking is available via Riverbank Church Carpark and Windsor Park.
  • The Deliveries and Visitor Carpark behind the Senior Art Studio remains reserved for visitors (max 30 mins) and loading zone only.

Maps detailing these changes have been sent out to the school community.

Stay in the Loop

Throughout the 2025 build, you can keep up with progress via The Hub. We're sharing regular updates there and also on our socials (Facebook and Instagram) – including time lapses of key building stages.
