GREEN TEAM & School Leaders 2024

Our Green Team and School Leaders will be participating in National Tree Day and Schools Tree Day this year at the City of Whittlesea Community Event. They will be walking down to the Mernda Conservation Park to plant trees and learn about the importance of conservation.

The Victorian Department of Education is conducting a student climate survey to better understand children and young people’s views on climate change. This will help ensure that our education system is responsive to students’ needs and will best equip them with the knowledge and skills critical for their future.

The survey will be conducted outside of school and can be accessed at this link or the QR Code. The survey is conducted anonymously; however, students are required to get their parent or guardian’s approval before participating. The survey closes on Friday 20th September 2024.

The information gained through the survey will be used to discern how Victorian children and young people want to learn about climate change at school. This research will inform curriculum and program design in the future.
