PYP Corner: The Learner Profile
This term, students have been focusing on demonstrating the school value of COURAGE across all areas of their learning and behaviour.
Students will be encouraged to try new things and bounce back when faced with challenges.

When we show the value of courage, we are being risk-takers and reflective.
Risk-Takers
At home and at school, we can be a risk-taker when we:
- try new things (e.g. foods, games, skills)
- speak up, be an Upstander
- step outside our comfort zones
- make brave choices
- learn from challenges
- show resilience
- ask for help
Reflective
At home and at school, we can be a reflective when we:
- think about our learning
- think back on our day
- consider what we have done
- think about ways we can improve
- identify strengths
- set personal or group goals
- consider the world around us
- consider different perspectives
- learn from our mistakes
- check my own work, creation or actions
- celebrate growth
- change our approach
Over the term, we will continue to reflect on how we can be show these attributes each and everyday.
The teachers have been looking out for students who have shown these two attributes. We will be taking the time to acknowledge these students at upcoming Assemblies.
