ASSSTC

Australian Secondary Schools Ski Team Competition 

The Falls Creek Schools Carnival, which now incorporates the historical ASSSTC approach, took place this week. Our team represented our school outstandingly, winning the Cross Country team trophy and many individual medals as well. Congratulations to the whole team, and a big thanks to Vicky Levesque for organising and attending the event, and to Chris Greenhalgh who also assisted with the whole event. 

Progress Reports

Mid Term 3 Progress Reports will be available in Compass next Friday. These reports are always completed in Weeks 4 and 8 of each term and help monitor the students’ learning habits in class. All students should be able to achieve working at a level of 3, the expected level. Make sure you keep your eyes out for when they are made visible to families next Friday.

Position Vacant

Kristy Henville, one of our in-class student support aides was working with students on Thursdays this year, however is no longer able to continue. This 1 day position, for the remainder of the year, has been advertised on Recruitment Online (position number 1534190). Please share this information with anyone who may be interested or suitable to apply for this role, or applications can be emailed directly to me.

Save the Date - End of Year Awards

Make sure you save this date in your diary – our end of year Awards Ceremony will be held at school on Wednesday 16th December from 10am.

We hope to celebrate as a whole school, so this will replace the traditional evening event. We'd like everyone to attend, and not just those who are receiving an award. 

Students in Years 10 – 12 will have officially finished school by this date (as is always the case), but we hope that these students will be able to attend the event. Invitations will go out to these students in the near future.
