Scotsburn at Buninyong for the day - Thursday July 30
This Thursday both classes will spend the entire day at the Buninyong campus. This is due to the Young Authors’ Program using our facilities for the day, which is a great opportunity to show off our beautiful campus. All other routines will run as normal, including specialist subjects with Mrs Morgan, out of rooms at Buninyong.
SSG Meetings
SSG meetings that have been booked for Thursday July 30 will take place at the Buninyong campus. Please check in at the office upon arrival.
100 Days of School - Friday July 31
This Friday all of SC1 will be celebrating 100 days of School. Students are encouraged to come to school with something that celebrates this milestone - feel free to get creative!

Concert Update - Land of Mythical Creatures
Our concert item is continuing to come together, which is fantastic. We are now starting to get closer to costumes coming together and with the fantastic help of Mrs Morgan, we have nearly all students sorted with what to wear. In terms of anything we require from home, we will communicate that in the coming weeks, however at this stage we are looking well prepared. We will also be sending out more information in the coming weeks regarding Scotsburn-specific arrangements and parent helpers for the performance days. Thanks to those who have already reached out to offer assistance.
In each weekly newsletter this term, there will be a dedicated concert page, so please make sure to familiarise yourself with this. Tickets are now on sale, so get in quick!
Principal for a Day
In the next few weeks, students will have the opportunity to create a submission to apply for the fun Principal for a Day competition. Similar to the Buninyong Campus, students at Scotsburn will have the opportunity to be selected to join Mr Morgan on an upcoming Tuesday, to complete all the important jobs around the campus. These might include:
- Helping with the newsletter
- Putting the bins out
- Helping with morning announcements
- Making some toasties
- Talking to the classrooms about upcoming events
- Planning assemblies
Scotsburn Hall Tree Planting Morning
Last Friday, the entire Scotsburn campus headed down to the Scotsburn Hall to assist with some tree planting. We love any opportunity to help out with our local community groups and care for the environment, and with the help of Dan Frost (Harry’s dad), we were able to plant out a boundary fenceline of the community hall property. Thanks so much Dan!
School Arrival Time
With the new daily schedule and learning structure that we have developed in 2026, our dedicated learning begins in the classrooms from 9am sharp. Whilst we understand that from time to time late arrivals may be unavoidable, we do require that all students are set up and ready for learning by 9am bell time. If you are having any difficulties with drop off times, please come in and chat with Jarrod to see if we can help out.
Swimming and Water Safety Program
Our 2026 swimming and water safety program commences later this term. Lessons take place at the Federation University pool by qualified instructors and run for 45 minutes over a 5-day period.
More detailed information will be sent home via Compass in the coming week for parent/carer consent, along with payment details. The cost of this year’s program is $66 per child.
In the meantime, please see the dates for Scotsburn below.

2027 Scotsburn Enrolments
If you know any families that are looking to enrol their child/children for 2027 (or in the foreseeable future), please complete an enrollment form and submit it to the office at Buninyong. If you have any questions, please email Jarrod at jarrod.morgan@education.vic.gov.au
For those considering enrolment at our beautiful campus, the video below is a great snapshot of what we have to offer:
Scotsburn- Virtual Tour (youtube.com)
Scotsburn Intercampus Travel At times, Scotsburn students will be transported between campuses in order to attend classes, assemblies, special days and events. On most occasions, transport required through the day will be by bus and occasionally private car for smaller groups of students. Parents may be asked to drop off or collect from the Buninyong campus if sessions are at the beginning or ending of a day. We will always let you know of any upcoming travel arrangements via our newsletter, Compass, or via phone for smaller, more specific travel arrangements. If you ever have any questions or concerns regarding intercampus travel, please contact your child’s teacher. |
