Another successful Head Start program has set our senior students up for a strong start in their 2026 mathematics studies. Our dedicated Senior Mathematics team has worked tirelessly throughout this period, using the time to deepen content knowledge, refine planning, and prepare thoroughly for next year’s assessments.

This term, staff also engaged in valuable professional learning opportunities, including the annual MAV Conference, which two of our teachers were fortunate to attend. The conference offered a rich selection of workshops showcasing innovative approaches to teaching mathematics, with insights that will strengthen differentiation, enhance instructional practice, and further support student engagement. The conference also allowed staff to be involved in sessions to improve their CASIO skills for their subject area.

In addition, our Year 12 teachers participated in a specialised CASIO ClassPad session led

 by a Casio expert, Kevin McMenamin from Mentone Grammar, providing targeted support in applying the CASIO to more complex problems and equipping staff with strategies to improve student achievement.

A heartfelt thank you to our Senior Mathematics team for their hard work, commitment, and ongoing support of our students and one another throughout the year.

With such a dedicated team, 2026 promises to be an even bigger and better year.
