A Message from the Principal
Mrs Pauline Long
Dear students, staff & parents,
It is with a heart full of gratitude and a bittersweet feeling that I write my last newsletter! It has been a privilege to lead this wonderful school over the last 6 years.
Thank you to the students. You are the reason I am a teacher. Always remember to be KIND and to be BRAVE. Don’t let fear stop you from trying new things and please always keep your love of learning. With a good education you can achieve your dreams. Remember, always strive to be the best version of yourself!
Thank you to our staff. Your dedication is truly unparalleled. Thank you for your commitment to the students in our care. You do make a difference every day.
Thank you to our parents and school community. Thank you for your trust, your partnership and your support of our school. We really do have a small school with a big heart.
I will miss so much about St Joey’s but I also take comfort in knowing my good friend Mrs Amanda Sheridan will be taking over as Principal. With our strong sense of sharing & common mission within our Diocesan schools, I know the transition will be smooth. I urge you all to make Mrs Sheridan feel very welcome. We have a great school team, a clear vision and culture of care.
Thank you for the memories.
Last night we held a special dinner for our Year 6 students, their parents and teachers at the Quirindi Club. Thank you to Mrs Cortis for creating the beautiful slideshow which added to the atmosphere of the evening.
