Inquiry - Geography: Learning All About Australia
This term we have started on a journey exploring Australia. Our first stop was looking at a map of the country and sharing our thoughts about what we saw. We were able to identify some of the places, animals and landmarks on the map but we also realised that we had a lot of wonderings. We spent some time writing these down on cards so that we can answer our questions as we explore different parts of Australia. Our next stop involved the states and territories, all of them! We took a road trip via PowerPoint and saw some of the main attractions in each state and territory including the Sydney Opera House in New South Wales, the Big Pineapple in Queensland and Whale Sharks off the coast of Western Australia. Next we will have a look at different weather patterns throughout the country and find out more about Indigenous traditions to care for the land. We can’t wait to share more of our journey with you all!
