End of Term 3!

Wow, how amazing to think that another term is almost over! This term has been busy with many wonderful events, including incursions, excursions, interschool sports and whole school events such as Book Week and R U Ok? Week. These events are important for our students to engage in to further develop their learning and continue to build connections with their peers and teachers.

Father’s Day/ Special Person’s Day Stall

Thank you to Sarah Jarman our Community Liaison Officer, who once again did an exceptional job running our annual stall, during which students were able to purchase something nice for Father’s Day/Special Person’s Day. An extended thank you also to parents/guardians who helped with the stall on the day.

Prep 2026 Enrolments

Brookside College is continuing to accept enrolments for Prep 2026. If you have a child who will be starting Prep next year and haven’t already enrolled, please contact the school as soon as possible to begin the enrolment process.

R U Ok? Day – Thursday 11 September Every year, Brookside College aims to spread mental health awareness and community connection through the message of R U Ok? Our mission is to create, inspire and empower students and the school community to connect with those around them to support anyone struggling with their mental health.   This year for our R U OK? Day celebrations, the Wellbeing Team at Brookside organised and collaborated with members of the school and other wellbeing organisations, to run programs and events to raise the importance of mental health and wellbeing. Students and staff were encouraged to wear a splash of yellow to acknowledge the importance of this week. Thank you to our Wellbeing Team and all staff involved in organising and putting on a fantastic week for our students.

Year 6 Camp

Students have had a wonderful time at Phillip Island Adventure Resort Camp participating in a variety of activities and team bonding experiences. Thank you to Ms Courtney Pretty and the Year 6 teachers for their organisation and for attending the camp with the students.

Colour Run

We held our annual Colour Run event last week. The day was filled with lots of colour and fun activities, in which the students participated in throughout the day. Well done to our students and their families who raised a whopping $10879! This money will go towards our house system. A big thank you to Mrs Cross and Mr T for all their organisation and behind the scenes work in making this day such a successful one for our school community.

Parent Teacher Student Conferences

Parent Teacher Student Conferences will be conducted on Thursday 9 October, with both face to face and online options to provide families the opportunity to discuss student progress. There will no school for students on this day. OSHC will still be available for families that require their service. We encourage all families to book a time with their child/ren’s teacher/s to celebrate their progress so far and discuss areas for improvement.

We hope you have a wonderful weekend!
