Netball Day Report!

Our recent Netball Day was a fantastic showcase of sportsmanship, teamwork, and determination from both our Year 7/8 and Year 9/10 boys teams, who proudly represented our school and qualified for Phase 2 Netball.

Year 7/8 Boys Team

The Year 7/8 boys played with great spirit and enthusiasm throughout the day. Despite drawing one game and narrowly losing three, their effort and attitude were commendable. They demonstrated resilience and teamwork, supporting each other on and off the court. Their performance was a testament to their commitment and growth in the sport.

Year 9/10 Boys Team

The Year 9/10 boys team had an outstanding run, winning two games and drawing one to progress to the semi-finals. In a tightly contested match, they were defeated by just five goals, but their performance was nothing short of exceptional. Their skill, strategy, and sportsmanship were evident in every game, and they should be incredibly proud of their achievements.

Open Girls Team

The Open Girls team delivered an outstanding performance, placing 3rd overall in the competition. After a strong run through the pool stages, they were defeated in the semi-finals by the eventual champions. Their teamwork, resilience, and skill were commendable, and they should be proud of their achievement.

Open Boys Team

The Open Boys team showed promising signs early in the tournament, with flashes of strong individual performances and potential. However, they faced challenges in finding cohesion as a team and ultimately placed 3rd in their pool. Despite the result, the experience was valuable, and the team demonstrated great character and determination.

A special thank you goes to Mrs Johnson for her invaluable assistance throughout the trip. Her support with logistics and student wellbeing was deeply appreciated and contributed significantly to the success of the excursion. Overall, the trip was a memorable and rewarding experience for our students, reinforcing the values of teamwork, perseverance, and school spirit.
