Prep News

Our Prep students have settled smoothly into school life at Windsor Primary School. They are learning our important routines and building independence such as unpacking our bags, taking care of our belongings and taking turns. We are modelling these expectations to support their smooth transition. So far the students have met their Class and Specialist teachers of Art, Science, Music and P.E! We are so proud of their successful start and look forward to seeing their growth throughout the term.

This term in Literacy we are beginning our Little Learners Love Literacy Program. Please read the attached letter to find out information about our Literacy lessons in Prep and how you can support your child at home. We will also be learning reading and writing skills such as:

-features of a book e.g. front and back cover, where to start reading

- early writing skills e.g. letter formation, correct pencil grip, planning and composing their writing

- developing their recognition of upper and lowercase letters
